Corporate / Private Events

We work directly with Creve Coeur Ice Arena to find a time that is available for your request. Typically, the best ice times are during the weekday where we're not in conflict with hockey schedules. 

Once you complete the form above, we'll reach out to you with options that are available within the requested dates. It's best to reserve time as far in advance as possible to ensure the rink isn't already reserved for that time. 

We also will need to coordinate with our members to have a few volunteers available to instruct your group. We cannot guarantee that any of your requested dates and times will be available as ice time is hard to come by, especially between September and March, but we will gladly inquire with the ice rink.

We will supply you with the curling equipment, so no need to bring your own stone. We just ask that you dress appropriately for the activity, since ice can be pretty cold. 

The ice rink will be roughly 40 degrees, but you may warm up once you start playing and sweeping, so it is best to dress in layers and maybe bring a hat and gloves. Wear loose fitting pants that allow freedom and clean, flat soled shoes such as tennis shoes. You're also welcome to bring a helmet for extra protection since ice is pretty slippery. 

In our LTCs, we strive to get you sweeping and delivering stones as quickly as possible, while at the same time giving you a feel for the equipment and the flow of the game.

Participants arrive, hand in the signed waivers or sign one at the door, pay any outstanding fees, and get fitted with grippers over your shoes.

While the ice is being prepped, we'll discuss safety and divide everyone into smaller groups. 

The groups will go out on the ice (typically in groups of 4-5) and learn about stone delivery, sweeping, and strategy. 

After instruction is done, we'll play a short game.

Children should be at least 5 years old to participate in an LTC session. Kids will learn the game with stones that are lighter weight than regulation stones, while the adults and older children will use the regulation weight stones.

We recommend, but do not require, that a parent accompany younger children on the ice. If the parent does not come onto the ice, the parent must stay within visual range of their child and not leave the building under any circumstances. It is also recommended for kids 12 and under to wear a helmet during the LTC session (bike helmets, hockey helmets, etc.)

Our events are always open to the public to watch. There are bleachers overlooking the ice sheets with plenty of seats and friendly people available to answer your questions and explain the game. There is no charge if you just come to watch.

Curling is a very accessible sport and we encourage anyone of any ability to join us. We have sticks (kind of like shuffleboard) that will help you deliver the stone without getting down into the hacks. 

We're glad to hear that! If you want to curl more, we welcome you to become a member of the club! We offer leagues for all skill levels and will work to pair you with more experienced curlers to help you improve your game. 

If you need to change or cancel your Private Event, please contact our Group Events Coordinator as soon as possible. We will make every effort to accommodate your requested changes, but we cannot make any guarantees.

Refund policy: Event can be cancelled and fully refunded if more than 30 days in advance. (We prepay for ice rental and require at least 30 days' notice of any cancellation).

No-Shows: Any group that does not show up to their reserved session will not be provided a refund or a credit for a future event.  (This is due to our ice rental costs). Exceptions may be made for extenuating circumstances.

If the Private Event needs to be cancelled such as in case of bad weather (this is entirely at the discretion of our board), or due to ice rink closure, you will be notified at the email you provided at registration. The Group Events Coordinator will work to reschedule the Private Event with you or if it cannot be rescheduled, the cost of the Private Event will be refunded in full.
